Trump Media dismisses auditor BF Borgers amid SEC fraud charges
Historical US President Donald Trump’s media and technology firm said it had replaced its auditor, BF Borgers, after the US Securities and Alternate Fee (SEC) charged the accounting company with “wide fraud” on Friday (Might 3).
Trump Media & Expertise Community said in a filing with the SEC on Monday that it had switched to Semple, Marchal & Cooper on Saturday. The swap used to be truly helpful and authorized by the firm’s audit committee.

Borgers, the auditor of the Fact Social parent since 2022, agreed to a US$12 million civil penalty and to discontinue working against as accountants on SEC filings, the company said.
Trump Media is waiting for working with its unique auditing companions following the SEC’s resolution, a spokesperson for the firm said in an emailed statement on Friday.
In accordance with the SEC, Borgers did now not properly preserve and audit documentation, fabricated audit planning conferences and in some cases, handed off old audits for the most up-to-date audit length.
