Changi Airport Group CEO to step down in July
SINGAPORE: Changi Airport Neighborhood (CAG) could maybe comprise a brand contemporary chief govt officer in July when its present CEO Lee Seow Hiang steps down after 15 years.
Mr Yam Kum Weng, the present govt vice president of airport pattern, will dangle over on Jul 1, CAG launched on Tuesday (Apr 9).

Mr Lee, 54, will additionally relinquish his roles as a director on the CAG board and as chairman of the boards of Changi Airports World (CAI) and Jewel Changi Airport Improve.
Mr Yam, 59, shall be appointed to the CAG board and as chairman of the CAI board from Jul 1.
FOUNDING CEO
Changi Airport used to be made a corporate entity in 2009 and Mr Lee used to be appointed CAG’s founding CEO. At some level of his time at the helm, he oversaw the initiating of Terminal 4, the growth of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and the event of Jewel Changi Airport.
He bought the Public Service Essential person Medal in 2022 for his leadership in the airport-wide efforts all the scheme by COVID-19 and the Medal of Commendation (Gold) in 2023 for his work in selling and supporting labour motion initiatives.
In his early years, Mr Lee held diverse appointments in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Ministry of Defence, his last being deputy head of air operations in HQ RSAF. After he left the protection force in 2005, he became the most important non-public secretary to the gradual Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew till 2008.

According to CNA’s queries about Mr Lee’s plans after stepping down and if politics used to be on the horizon, a CAG spokesperson stated: “Mr Lee will portion his put up-CAG plans if and when he’s ready to originate so.”
