Intel has shelved investment in Italy, minister says
ROME : Intel has postponed plans to invest in Italy, the country’s industry minister talked about on Thursday, after a mission to present a complex packaging and chip assembly factory first mooted in March 2022 became in no plan finalised.
The US technology firm has “given up or postponed its investments in France and Italy, compared with others that it plans in Germany,” Minister Adolfo The United States told newshounds in the northern Italian metropolis of Verona.

He talked about Italy remained alive to to welcome Intel if it’ll also still exchange its thoughts and fulfill its outdated plans for European investment.
“If it decides to total these projects, we are still here,” The United States talked about.
The minister added that Italy will quickly behold more foreign investment in its semiconductor sector following a $3.5 billion deal introduced this week gripping Singapore-based Silicon Box.
He talked about that deal became the principle predominant foreign investment in the field and “there will doubtless be others in coming months.”
A ministry job force held talks with Taiwanese groups in current months, The United States added.
