MOM investigating convenience store chain Emart24 after former employees go unpaid
SINGAPORE: Convenience retailer chain Emart24 is being investigated by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for allegedly failing to pay extinct workers.
The Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) bought claims for unpaid salaries from 15 extinct workers of the South Korean chain.

These workers are currently receiving assistance.
“TADM has efficiently helped five workers to reach an settlement with Emart24, and the company has begun repaying them,” acknowledged the organisation and MOM in a joint observation on Saturday (Apr 13).
“TADM is within the direction of of scheduling mediation sessions for the closing workers.”
The authorities added that affected workers who require employment assistance possess been referred to the labour union’s Employment and Employability Institute.
MOM and TADM reminded employers to pay team of workers on time and suggested workers who require assistance with wage claims to methodology TADM early by capacity of the Tripartite Alliance web region.
Emart24 debuted in Singapore at the conclude of 2022 and within the raze opened three retail outlets across the country.
